Women Deliver is one of the world's largest conferences on gender equality. Held every three years, it brings together advocates, leaders and changemakers to reimagine power, align strategies, and act for a feminist future.
Women Deliver will gather more than 6,500 people from across feminist, grassroots, First Nations, youth-led, LGBTQIA+ and women's rights movements, alongside world leaders, creatives, private sector changemakers, academics and media.
For the first time, this global convening is coming to the Oceanic Pacific region, to Narrm (Melbourne). The theme is Change Calls Us Here, a moment to connect, share knowledge and shape what comes next for gender justice.
WD2026 presents a pivotal moment for the global community to connect with and learn from First Nations women in Australia—women who carry millennia of knowledge systems, leadership and governance practices, and community care models that can transform global approaches to gender justice.
The Wiyi Yani U Thangani Institute is committed to ensuring First Nations women, girls and gender-diverse people are represented, recognised and able to shape critical conversations at a global level. The Institute is convening a delegation of 100 First Nations women to attend WD2026.

The Institute is dedicated to ensuring First Nations women, girls and gender-diverse people are able to attend and participate in Women Deliver. As a global conference, Women Deliver draws thousands of participants from across the world and involves significant expenses to attend. For many First Nations women, the logistical and financial considerations involved prevent signification barriers to their participation in Women Deliver.
Through the Institute’s coordination, First Nations women from across Australia will be supported with holistic, culturally-responsive wrap around supports, enabling them to safety and confidently engage in mainstream global arenas.
It is a shared responsibility to ensure dedicated pathways exist to ensure First Nations women are represented in spaces where their presence is crucial, particularly at a global convening hosted by Australia.
The Institute is seeking funding to sponsor 100 Frist Nations women. To donate via ANU's secure donation platform, please follow the link below.
